We have now introduced a Telephone Triage system with our Practice Nurses for urgent or on the day appointment requests.

You can still pre-book an appointment with a GP or Nurse.

When you call to make an urgent or on the day appointment with the practice, our reception staff will take your details and ask for a brief explanation of your condition to ensure you receive appropriate and timely assessment. You will then receive a call back from the Practice Nurse.

Our experienced Practice Nurses assess your symptoms and concerns, and then agree with you how these needs might best be met by giving telephone advice or a face to face appointment with themsleves or a GP, along with an indication of the appropriate urgency.

We hope that this system will manage our increasing demand for GP appointments and improve access for patients who don’t necessarily need a face to face consultation.
